一、八极拳概说BriefIntroduofBajiQuan

八极拳全称为“开门八极拳”

或称“岳山八极拳”

。

“开门”

意为六种开法（六大开）作为技法核心，破开对方门户（防守架子）。

“八极”

，意为出劲可达到四面八方极远的地方。

称“岳山”

者，相传八极源自河南焦作岳山寺，故名冠“岳山”

。

因此有“文有太极安天下，武有八极定乾坤”

之说。
